ASE 2020: Virtual Experience FAQs

How do I claim my CME

To claim your CME, please click here. The deadline to claim CME credits is November 10, 2020. For more information on the CME evaluation process, please visit our CME information page here.

What is the deadline to register?

Registration for ASE2020: Virtual Experience is still available!

Registration will close completely at 11:59 PM ET on October 27, 2020. This will give participants enough time to access all the content and claim CME credits before the content expires on the virtual platform. All session content is available on-demand until November 10, 2020.

Will there be a registration fee for the ASE 2020: Virtual Experience?

Yes, there will be a registration fee associated with this virtual offering. The fee will be much less than fees associated with a live course. There will be an option to register with CME and without CME, so there should be an option for the needs of everyone.

How many CME will be included in the Virtual Experience Live Broadcast registration?

ASE is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. ASE designates this activity for a maximum of 44 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ pending approval for all attendees (except non-CME registrants). You will be able to claim CME credits beginning Tuesday, August 11, 2020 through December 1, 2020. Instructions for claiming CME credits will be available closer to the live broadcast start date. You can also earn up to 44 MOC points. Click here for all CME/MOC details. There is no CME awarded for the poster sessions at this time.

What are the system requirements to access ASE 2020: Virtual Experience?

All you will need is your computer and a stable and reliable internet connection. This is essentially no different to watching a video on YouTube. If you can watch YouTube, then you will be able to stream on the website with no problems.

How long will I have access to the content provided in the live broadcast taking place August 8-10, 2020?

You will have unlimited access to this content on-demand until November 10th, 2020 (90 days) following the broadcast. If you cannot participate in the live broadcast on August 8-10, 2020, you will still have the opportunity to watch all live & pre-recorded sessions. All of the live sessions will be recorded, giving registrants the chance to still earn the full 44 CME credits. To learn more, click here.

What type of content will be included in the Virtual Experience?

Content from 11 tracks will be included in the live broadcast Virtual Experience. These include: Circulation, Early Career, Imaging Essentials (including Sonography), Innovation/Technology, Ischemia, Myocardium/Function, Pediatric/Congenital, Perioperative, Point of Care, Special Sessions, and Valves.

What is the ASE 2020: Virtual Experience Course Cancellation Policy?

All cancellations must be received in writing; please email Registrar@ASEcho.org with the reason for cancelling your registration. Once you have accessed the online content, we are not able to refund your registration fee. Please note: registration for any ASE course is non-transferable to another participant or another course. *Membership dues are non-refundable or transferable if you cancel your ASE2020: Virtual Experience registration. Please allow 5-7 business days for the refund to appear back on the credit card used to register.

I purchased a ticket to the 2020 Gala. What are the next steps?

Please reach out to Gala@ASEcho.org for information on ticket and table purchases made.

I was invited to present as faculty at the live course. When will I hear about what my presentation options will be for the Virtual Experience?

Virtual Experience faculty invitations will be going out in late May. However, even if you are not invited to present during the Virtual Experience, there will be an opportunity for you to share your presentation as a PowerPoint or PDF.

I was invited to present my abstract the live course, will I have the opportunity to present my research during the Virtual Experience?

Abstract presenters will be contacted by Kat Lyons in the coming weeks when concrete information is available concerning a revised presentation schedule. All accepted original science presentations will be published in the June issue of the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography. These abstracts should not be submitted to other meetings or for publications elsewhere. If you have further questions please email abstracts@asecho.org.
