After registering for ASE 2025, sign up for a DIY Workshop(s). DIY Workshops are separate ticketed events with limited capacity that allow for individualized learning. For most DIY Workshops, there are two registration options available.

- Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Certificate Program DIY Workshop

This two-part program offers both online and hands-on learning experience for participants seeking to obtain a better understanding of HCM. Prior to the hands-on session, participants will complete the required online prework by September 1, 2025. The DIY HCM session features an 80-minute practical session, offering an exclusive opportunity to scan HCM patients under the one-on-one guidance of an expert HCM sonographer. Upon successful completion of both the prerequisite modules and the hands-on session, participants will receive a certificate of completion. These sessions are provided by an unrestricted educational grant from Bristol Myers Squibb.

Participants in this session will receive hands on instruction in the multiparametric evaluation of mitral regurgitation. - Pediatrics
4:45 PM – 5:45 PM
This DIY hands-on scanning session is dedicated to pediatric patients with congenital heart disease. It will provide the opportunity for participants to scan pediatric patients with congenital heart disease. Expert sonographers and physicians will provide assistance and education to participants and observers and will discuss the type of congenital heart disease present in the patient and how the ultrasound protocol needs to be tailored to answer the clinical question.

Participants in this session will receive hands on practice in scanning techniques to assess left ventricular ejection fraction and volume status. - Aortic Regurgitation
9:45 AM – 10:45 AM
Participants in this session will receive hands on instruction in the multiparametric evaluation of aortic regurgitation. - Mitral Regurgitation
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Participants in this session will receive hands on instruction in the multiparametric evaluation of mitral regurgitation. - POCUS Right Ventricle Size & Lung Ultrasound
1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
Participants in this session will receive hands on practice in scanning techniques to assess right ventricular size and function and identify A-lines on lung ultrasound. - Adult Congenital Heart Disease
2:45 PM – 3:45 PM
This DIY hands-on scanning session is dedicated to adult patients with congenital heart disease. -
Vascular
4:45 PM – 5:45 PM
Participants will have the opportunity to perform and observe ultrasound imaging of the carotid artery, abdominal aorta, and lower extremity veins. B-mode, color Doppler, and spectral Doppler techniques.
